Bachelorette party, bachelorette party, stagette, kitchen snack and mime party. These are all terms used in various parts of the world to denote the same thing: a woman’s last party before marriage. Bachelor parties have been around for generations, but it’s only in modern times that women are letting their hair down just as much, if not more, than men.

Traditionally, the bridesmaid organizes the bachelorette party for the bride-to-be. The event can take place in a private house, a bar or restaurant, it can be a night out on the town or it can even be a weekend getaway. However, whatever the venue, bachelorette party games are often played. Do you need some ideas? Here are the top five to get you started:

1. Balloon Pass – This relay game is great for those hosting a party at a private residence. Gather some equipment. Using long balloons, fill them up and place them between the legs of the first person in line. The object of the game is to pass it from person to person hands-free as quickly as possible.

2. Forbidden Words: This game is fun whether you stay at home or go out. Create a list of common words, usually related to the wedding, that cannot be spoken for the duration of the party. “Groom”, “bride” and “wedding” are all popular. If someone is caught quenching a forbidden word, they have to take a drink, pay a fine, or make a challenge. Be creative with your “punishments”!

3. Snap the Condom – This one can be a little daring to go out with, but it’s a lot of fun at home. The first person to unwrap and correctly place the condom on a banana, zucchini, or cucumber wins a prize. It sounds easy? Make sure everyone has their hands behind their backs before you start!

4. Never Me: This classic drinking game is perfect for staying in or going out. The only materials needed are your courage and a lot of alcohol. The person starting begins by saying, “I never…” and then comes up with something that he has never done. If someone in the group has really done it, he has to drink. You can find out a lot of secrets about someone this way. Just remember, what happens at the bachelorette party, stays at the bachelorette party.

5. Pin the Male on the Model – Remember the classic game Pin the Tail on the Donkey? Everyone is given a tail, blindfolded, spun around, and pointed at in the general vicinity of an image of the donkey. You wobble trying to get the detached tail back in the right place without looking. The person closest to the mark wins. This works the same way, except there’s a poster of a naked man instead of a donkey. Guess what is used for the tail?
