The Hunter is without a doubt the easiest class to level up quickly in World of Warcraft, but you can substantially increase the Hunter advantage by paying close attention to the talent tree. So here are my suggestions for the best hunter build to level up solo as quickly as possible.

When it comes to some of the other classes, like the druid or paladin, there are almost too many options that could lead to great results, so a little action paralysis can take hold if you’re trying to figure out your WoW character build. . Fortunately, you have it pretty easy as a hunter, because the beast mastery talent tree is by far the preferred option to start building the best solo hunter build for your character. There is no contest.

The big difference between hunters in WoW and other classes in World of Warcraft is the hunter’s unique ability to command pets. And pets not only provide their excellent tanking abilities, but some of them, like the cat, also deal significant damage.

You get your first pet at level 10. There are all kinds of pets to choose from, so you need to select a pet that you like. There really isn’t a “best” pet as such, so don’t worry too much about it. Just pick one that’s fun for you as long as it has the features you prefer, whether it’s better armor for tanking or higher DPS.

Beast Mastery Talent Tree

Since the pet is the hunter’s main perk, you’ll want to spend your talent points to get the most out of it and that means spending most of your points on the beast mastery tree.

The “must haves” for the Beast Mastery tree are, in my opinion:

  • beastly speed
  • fury unleashed
  • Improved Repair Pet
  • ferocity
  • Intimidation
  • frenzy

I like anything that reduces cooldown, which is why I’m a fan of choosing talents that reduce mana cost. Bestial Swiftness increases your pet’s outdoor speed (always a good thing) and the rest will be useful for DPS.

aiming tree

While you’ll be spending most of your talent points on Beast Mastery, don’t neglect your rifle and bow. Make sure to spend some points on aim, as this will make you much more formidable.

I like Efficiency to lower my mana cost, and also Lethal Shots for a nice increase in critical hit. After that spend the points wherever you want.

You can almost safely skip anything in the Survival tree. If you really want to craft the best solo hunter build, you’ll want to focus most of your points on Beast Mastery and put the rest on Marksmanship. If done correctly, no one will come near you often enough that Survival talents are necessary.
