Roger Staubach is one of the most popular players to wear the Dallas Cowboys uniform. He came to the team just as they were beginning to grow into Team America, and was a big part of the reason they were so successful in the 1970s. He spent his entire career with the Cowboys, retiring as a favorite of the fans. He would later be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Staubach had a lot of mobility and that ability allowed him to be creative on the pitch. He played a big part in him being able to get away from defenders and make a much-needed play. He was also injured with a strong arm and used it on several occasions to lead his team to victory. Staubach also threw touchdowns to other great players like Butch Johnson, Tony Hill, Tony Dorsett and more. However, Billy Joe DuPree and Drew Pearson are at the top of the list. These two players, along with all the other great receivers he had as weapons, played a big part in how good Roger Staubach was.
