Our country may be facing tough economic times, but that doesn’t mean you and your kids have to cut back on your summer vacation. In fact, it’s more affordable than ever thanks to the growing popularity of Treasure Island Rental Timeshares and St. Pete Beach Condo Rentals.

The biggest and most obvious reason rentals are becoming so popular is cost. A popular Treasure Island Hotel charges $1437 for a one-bedroom, one-bath week stay that includes a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, and mini-stove.

Not bad, but at one particular condo complex, you can get a two-bedroom, two-bath condo rental with a gulf front view, full kitchen, on-site laundry, for $946, including tax for the week. That’s $500 cheaper than the nearby hotel for more amenities!

If you’re not traveling with the family, you can get an even better deal on a one-bedroom, one-bathroom Treasure Island Condo weekly rental for just $687, taxes already included. That’s for the whole week!

You’ll have access to a heated pool and spa, a gazebo for quiet relaxation, an area for miniature golf, shuffleboard, and you can have your own BBQ on the beach. Condo rentals are within walking distance of numerous restaurants, shopping destinations, and recreational activities, so you won’t need a rental car—you can walk or take the Suncoast Beach Trolley for just $1.50.

On Voyager of Treasure Island, you’ll be less than a mile from the Gators Café and Saloon, a popular day and night waterfront beach bar for locals. For upscale dining, the slightly more upscale Middle Grounds Grill is a half-mile away and offers some of the best seafood in the area. Another popular seafood restaurant is the Friendly Fisherman, also less than a mile away. If you’re not a fan of seafood, there’s VIP Mexican Lounge just down the street. All the restaurants offer delicious dishes that you won’t find anywhere else.

At Westwinds of Treasure Island, another popular condo site, you’ll be just 0.3 miles and walking distance from VIP Mexican Lounge, Sloppy Joe’s on the beach, Ricky T’s (a very popular bar with locals), Gigi’s Italian Restaurant, The Pearl and Wahoo are on the island. At all of those restaurants, you’ll find very reasonably priced menu items with quality food and entertainment. Can’t beat that!
