The truth is, you have a better chance, statistically… of earning a 6 figure salary in a conventional real world career, than if you try or apply any of the above ideas in the online entrepreneurial space.
But… Before you think, I’m suggesting you give up your online entrepreneurial aspirations, I’m not. Instead, I want to share some very simple inspired ideas that have worked wonderfully for me, as well as thousands of other real-world entrepreneurs who make a living doing what we love. (many of whom have turned the simple ideas below into multi-million or even multi-million dollar businesses to boot)

Rule #1: BUILD something
98% of the online entrepreneurs I know are always trying to sell something. Whether it’s an affiliate product, a training course, or even a cheap e-book… That model may offer a shred of quick success, but it’s not a viable way to build lasting value.
Building something, rather than selling something, is a much better long-term strategy for not only creating real wealth for yourself, but also for generating real value in your niche, market, or industry.
Consider this for a moment.
AIRBNB is predicted by some high-value investors (including one of PayPal’s founders, Peter Thiel) as the next $100 BILLION business. It was started by a few average people on a startup budget and has become THE authority site in the “affordable alternative to hotel” traveler space.
Another offbeat idea to create a community platform for professionals based on PASSION and purpose to share their style with the world, Kickstarter has become the LARGEST source of funding for everyday people with extraordinarily inspired ideas, funding hundreds Millions of dollars and counting.
The chances of you or me creating the next AIRBNB or Kickstarter? Not good.
But, the chances that you or I can launch a similar style site that is an “authority” in a smaller niche, market or industry that we are interested in or passionate about, and that can generate millions upon thousands of profits, or be valued at 6 or even 7 figures or more in a reasonably short time?
Pretty good… Especially if you scale this strategy across multiple markets.
For example?
You can build a complete business that emulates an AIRBNB style model, for under $100… with awesome templates, premium plugins and just follow your plan for success. It doesn’t have to be real estate, you can create a search engine that matches consumers in the public, with professionals who have something specific to offer and need to be found, in almost any niche under the sun.
You can create a directory site. You can create a local market. You can build a social network in your niche, market or industry of choice, using FREE plugins like Buddypress, and position yourself as the thought leader, authority or become an expert.
Perhaps your passion is online business or entrepreneurship or helping other professionals create BUZZ for their own blogs, brands or businesses? You can create a job board, a classified site, a local news magazine, a marketing forum, or even a crowdfunding community… And literally create an entire online “agency” with high-value offers behind you. her, simply because I will be seen as the mastermind behind the scenes.
The truth is, this approach requires a little more work… and a little more effort overall. But believe it or not, it’s EASY to do, a lot of fun, and a great way to offer genuine value to others while doing what you love for a living.
