Good for melee characters who rely on Mana Depleting Skills as their primary attack ability, as they tend to take more hits than casters. Thus, each time they are hit, they can gain small amounts of mana and be able to use their primary attack abilities more often. Sorceresses who make use of Energy Shield will also find this mod useful, as the more Mana they have, the more capable they will be of using Mana for their spells and they will also use a shield buffer for Energy Shield.

A great boost for mana and good for casters, or anyone who relies on mana drain abilities as their primary attack ability. Launchers benefit more from Mana, but it’s still a good advantage for melee characters.

Since Life and Mana Leech only work when you physically hit monsters, it is of much greater importance to melee characters compared to casters (since casters rarely hit anything with a weapon).
Life and Mana Leech are excellent mods for any item, even though Infernal difficulty has reduced returns on both Leeching abilities.

Reducing magic damage by a numerical amount is generally useless due to the fact that at higher levels, monster attacks can deal several hundred points of damage.

This won’t be a problem for almost everyone, except perhaps the Amazons who rely on long-range weapons to dish out damage to their enemies.
