Any High Yield Investing Program, or HYIP as it is commonly known, is nothing more than a scam in the making.

We are here to make money online, but from time to time we come across sites that offer illogical payout amounts for a short-term deposit. Some of these sites offer ridiculous amounts of money, in some cases as much as 275% for a three day deposit. Once the lure has been set, all the rig needs is for goofy fish like us to grab the hook, line and sinker of the bait. HYIPs are in the business of tricking gullible Internet users into depositing some of their hard-earned money with the promise of high returns.

So, reality bites and bites very hard on that. Do you want to guess where it bites us? Yeah! That is the place.

HYIP schemes are ponzi schemes, designed to make us believe that the website will actually provide us with high returns when the truth is that it will not. These sites are set up in such a way that we can see our deposits grow day by day and when it comes to the payment date, there would be a delay or two. Most of the time, we get an email from the webmaster saying that he has some account issues with his bank and they should be fixed in a day or so. Then, in a matter of a few hours, the website shuts down; sometimes it is removed entirely.

HYIPs don’t pay and the few that do basically rotate funds from other ‘gullible’ members to us. But no HYIP scheme lasts more than a few days and some even work for only a few hours. There is no rational way for the site or company in question to invest the money and provide such large profits, even if they are engaged in something illegal. It should make us think, right? But sadly, the thought of earning 200% and more on a three day deposit is enough for these guys to “cheat” us.

Sites that offer high returns on a one day, three day or even a month deposit for extremely high returns are considered HYIP sites. It is much better to avoid these sites, at least if we plan not to throw our money into a bottomless pit. These sites are online for only one reason, and that is to make money not for us but for the Webmaster.

There are many methods through which we can make money online and HYIP is definitely not one of them. The only thing we should be doing if we are going to run into such sites is literally running for the hills, our bags of money included!
