Are you playing as a rogue in Rift and want to learn how to correctly combine your souls to create the perfect build for any situation?

Well, there are a total of eight different souls for the Rogue and you can always equip three souls at a time. Depending on your soul combination, you can change your character build, allowing you to cope with any situation.

soul killer – This soul has the ability to walk in the shadows, allowing you to stealthily navigate through mobs without being detected. Soul Assassin is great for solo missions or leveling up because you can take out opponents one at a time.

bard soul – Bard’s soul has the ability to cast buffs, heal parts, and reduce damage dealt by your enemy. If you want to play a secondary role in your party, equipping the bard soul is a good idea.

Soul of Blade Dancer – This soul is known for its burst damage. Blade Dancer can deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time. However, abilities that deal burst damage have a long cooldown.

shooter soul – This soul can deal the most damage among the Rogue classes. They specialize in ranged DPS and hit-run abilities. This is an ideal PVP soul to use.

ranger soul – The Soul Ranger allows you to summon a pet that can help deal a lot of DPS to your enemies. Not only can they summon pets, Rangers can also temporarily increase damage, critical hit, doge, and hit points.

Riftstalker Soul – The Riftstalker is the soul of the Rogues. This tank soul is not as powerful as the tanking abilities of the Warrior, however it is better than the Justicar soul of the Cleric class.

Soul Saboteur – The Soul Saboteur is perfect if you want CC targets. This soul is also very good if you want to PVP, however it is not ideal if you want to PVE or solo.

Now that you have a basic understanding of what each soul does, we can take a deeper look at the best soul combination to help you tackle solo or party play.

If you want to solo, it is recommended to use Blade Dancer’s soul as the main soul. Then select the Bard and the Ranger as the combinations. The reason for this is that this combination allows you to deal a lot of damage, while giving you the ability to tank. By using Bard and Ranger souls, you will also be able to continuously cast healing spells and summon a pet to fight with you.

When you don’t want to play alone and want to have fun with a couple other people, you’ll want to choose the tank or DPS route. To become a tank, use Riftstalker as your primary soul and choose Assassin and Blade Dancer as secondary souls. These alien souls are vital because the Assassin allows you to poison your enemies, while Blade Dancer increases your dodge chances.

If you want to go the DPS route, choose Blade Dancer as your primary soul and use Bard and Assassin as your secondary souls. Bard’s soul can continuously upgrade your character to allow you to deal more damage to your enemies.

Knowing exactly which build to use in different scenarios separates novice Rift players from the pros. So how do you know which combination is the best to use in different situations?
