The biggest business in our country these days is in the military support industries. So, on March 16, when our new Commander and Chief published his draft budget, he recommended deep cuts in diplomatic efforts to prevent violent conflict and genocide, while increasing the big business of military spending, in effect exchanging the possibility of peace for certainty. of war.
Trump’s budget would also reduce EPA’s allocation by 31%! They want to see the elimination of the Energy Star program (which improves energy efficiency), end all funding for the Chesapeake Bay cleanup project, end the grant program that helps cities and states deal with the air pollution AND eliminate Environmental Justice. Office – because environmental justice is NOT a priority. Obviously, business is the only priority. This proposed budget would eliminate 50 EPA programs!
Last year, lawmakers completely ignored Obama’s budget, and now we have a proposed budget that increases spending on military and national security, but totally eliminates 19 agencies and cuts spending on everything else!
As Obama noted in his State of the Union address on January 12, 2016, “We spend more on our military than the next eight nations combined!”
However, for his billionaire successor, that is not enough! And all we have to do to spend even more is cut back on those non-productive social programs that don’t help any of the really important people on Scrooge’s list.

Well, actually, your proposed budget would ensure that the poor (and not just poor blacks) in this country lose a lot. “Meals on Wheels”, Heat and Power Assistance, and Nutrition Assistance for Women and Children (WIC) would be drastically cut or eliminated under Trump’s proposed budget! The pollution of our world will intensify, terrorism will increase, as the elitists’ contempt for diplomacy pumps all our social funds into the war machine; while the promised job turns out to be primarily an option: the Armed Forces.
