If you know that PPC stands for pay per click, then you probably already know enough to know that this is the way to get your content to your niche audience. What do you feel when you hear pay per click? I’m going to say this and I hope you get ready for the boom…

“Pay per click advertising is the fastest way to MAKE money online in your niche!”

If you cringe at the thought that pay-per-click advertising is expensive and only for those with huge ad budgets, read on. The biggest myth in pay-per-click advertising is that the costs of being #1 are unaffordable for the average Joe and that good offline marketing techniques don’t translate well to online success.

Google has set the standard for all other search engines in the Web 2.0 era. The fact that Google charges for ad campaigns and pays people to display their ads shows the true power of social sharing. Every year, Google generates billions in advertising revenue that is shared with its millions of advertisers in the form of AdSense. Due to this public sharing, Google has the largest advertiser fan base in the world.

Notice I said Fanbase. Making pay-per-click marketing moves online solely based on price makes you a mere customer of Google, Yahoo, etc. Customers simply pay for a product or service without receiving any added value. This is an expensive way to market. This transactional relationship ends there.

Google customers use other Google products and services, such as Google Analytics, to track website and blog performance. Clients also turn to Google for research and advice using Google Trends and the upcoming Google Insights and other programs. By the way, I recommend that you sign up for the Google Adplanner beta program. It is free but available by invitation only. (Only available to Google AdWord, AdSense, and Analytics account holders for now.) Google has become a resource you go to for advice to help you properly build a campaign that is profitable and drives the targeted traffic you are looking for back to your niche website or Blog. As a customer, you would certainly use Google AdSense to get paid a commission for other Google ads that display relevant information on your site and drive traffic to those links. So, as an avid user of Google AdWords and AdSense, it feels good to be a customer associated with Google, but you still SPEND more money on marketing than with AdSense, right?

This is where the rubber meets the road. The reason why Facebook, Myspace, YouTube and others are successful is because it will make AdWords money. Fans of these social networking sites thrive off of their friends. Fans share a common interest and tell others (read free marketing) about that interest. You are certainly not the only person targeting a specific market segment with your product or service. If you can gather at least 10 similar Google clients (fans would be better) in your niche to jointly attack a specific AdWord. Your joint venture page, blog, article, etc. it can bring the group a #1 page rank for that keyword or phrase and cost less for everyone in the group to be together. For you, the sponsor of this group, you can list the shares of your internet marketing virtual property so that YOU pay nothing or maybe even make a profit on the joint venture. Consider taking 10 of your closest soccer friends to the game and charging each of them enough gas money to cover the gas needed to drive fast enough to get to the gate FIRST plus get into the game for FREE!
