I enjoy the subject of astrology and especially with the MODALITY of Humanistic Cosmic Therapy, delving psychoanalytically into the ins and outs that it entails. I enjoy it, not only because it entertains and educates, but because I love dissecting various interlocking mathematical patterns and geometric relationships. Yes, angular patterns. Everything that exists occurs due to different associated patterns.

The pattern of water H2O (water) is different from that of NaCl (salt); however, both are necessary in their own sphere of influence and function; more especially, in the electromagnetic functions they perform in the human body. So, too, the spiral patterns are bound to perform certain functions by their specific positions – in galaxies – whose radiant subatomic-ionic measurement influences us by their specific orbits.

Take the influence of Pluto (Scorpio) for example. Everyone has Pluto located somewhere in their astrological birth chart. However, Pluto dominant people {those with Pluto located in the first house} are considered too selfish, skeptical and harsh. You rarely feel sorry for them when damning consequences result from their abrupt actions. The confrontation proves to be a training ground that they welcome. Most people say that they are nothing short of evil.

Others will say “Well, he (or she) deserves it, since he (or she) asked for it.” Unfortunately, Pluto ruled that first house people are not necessarily aware of what they did or are doing to bring ‘stuff’ upon themselves. They just want things and people out there! They abhor falsehood. And, because they love to expose devious motivations, in themselves and others, they will stop at nothing to accomplish the task of exposing fakes.

Today, as I discuss Pluto’s position and influence in the first house of the astrological birth chart, I am distinctly reminded that any of us question our purpose for being alive on planet Earth solely because of Pluto’s probing power. How could this small (seemingly inconsequential remote planet) subject the human race to such blatant discomfort?

The theme of death, which immediately sets the stage for Pluto’s realm, astrologically prompts us to discover what we can to illuminate the matter. Superficiality will not suffice when you stand before the master of death. By the way, regarding the natal chart, if Pluto is close to the Ascendant, the journey and delivery of birth are involved in a crucial life and death struggle.

The mother was going through an ongoing phase of transformation when the child was born, which was disappointing and markedly dissatisfied. Although the birth may not have resulted in a literal death, the mother is forever changed and irrevocably linked to the child in life-changing struggles. {A turning point in her life; No doubt}

The relationship between mother and son is so intertwined and so formidably united that, though somewhat elusively disguised, it remains identical in composition. The child will possess an unresolved fear of impending doomed motivations in people, to the extent that trusting them will be a constant problem.

We all instinctively feel the subconscious pervasive influence of Pluto (Scorpio), but we are usually in denial of its range of transformative emotions!

Sometimes, due to this inability to pretend for a long time, the first house ruled by Pluto, people will quickly close the door on the immovable and frustrating past, and perseveringly, albeit reluctantly, move on. Friendships and connections are completely severed, with little chance of revival. Labeled as a ‘loser’ or an egomaniac, this person may simply disappear from the scene altogether.

In fact, the native Pluto is often hard to find and pinpoint, anyway, but in times of self-generated stress, he or she may simply disappear, leaving no forwarding address or any clues as to their whereabouts.

The person from the first house of Pluto is intensely self-critical and, like an insistent parent, continually tries to remake himself. The internal responses to self-criticism create crises and personal changes in the personality, as well as in the events that surround it and in the person’s environment. It is difficult for this individual to know when he will stop putting himself down.

Ultimately, after trying to avoid the continual annoyance and pain of self-review, the Pluto persona semi-self-destructs through denial of punishment. The lifestyle will seem to become a devouring avalanche, dragging this native to the wells, to the bottom, where crying and gnashing of teeth are heard and experienced.

This kind of ‘all or nothing’ life creates alarming situations that don’t seem to stop, but only help to continue the devastating momentum. In some cases, individuals lose their sources of income, their homes, their lifestyles, their relationships, everything; and they have to fight fiercely to start doing something else again. Others will avoid these people, fearing that the landslide could be ‘contagious’, that it could affect them.

I could go on for hours about the direct enigmatic influence of the dynamic position of Pluto which is in the first house of a person’s natal chart. Let’s just say: “crisis” becomes the individual’s name/path. And, unless you enjoy tearing apart each of the underlying motifs, stay away! Of course, not all Pluto in the first house natives have this particular problem of relentless crises; some will just sulk, resist and boomerang.

But, EVERY person ruled by Pluto will generally be a very private person! Few people, if any, will get to know this person intimately. During the gregarious times of the personality, certain danger is associated. With this aura of seductive excitement around the native Pluto, suggesting that here is someone who lives life richly and excitingly, the sign reads, “Enter at your own risk!”

Being around such a person can bring an aura of glamor to one’s life, but not without taking a heavy toll. Others are somewhat intimidated, hesitant to ‘buy’ the sheer raw power expressed.

Needless to say, the Pluto 1st house person acts with the skill of a skilled magician, and that is what draws others magnetically. Somehow others just know that this person’s power can bring into his life anything he wants, anything!

Scorpio’s focus of consciousness is deep, and the sense of clear, unfettered, intense, dynamic and powerful inner motivations can tap into and DRAW the attraction resources of the universe. Using the clarified desire, the essential nature of Scorpio generates that innate magical ability in reality.

The native can experience life intensely in the moment and is extraordinarily perceptive. But, NOT when doubts are brought on the home front! Like a hawk or an eagle, Pluto 1st house people are aware of their surroundings and how that environment reflects their own nature. They can live life with enthusiasm, involved in unraveling the mystery of reality and exploring their own magical resources, of which there are many!

The physical manifestations in the reality of the person of the first house of Pluto include several uprootings throughout life, {at least, of all the time in prison} such as moving to other places, perhaps distant, that could imply the alteration of family/home situations. There may be danger of freak accidents, particularly during a Pluto transit of the first house. Sudden and unexplained illnesses tend to surface revealing deep-seated psychological difficulties.

Most of the time, however, there is simply a withdrawal from outside social events, a tendency to prefer seclusion or a solitary way of life. Physical problems (ranging from alcohol/drug addiction to mental breakdowns) can absorb a great deal of time in treatment; and the native is often not opposed to the use of new technological or occult methods, turning his body into a testing laboratory, so to speak. He wants to KNOW, without a doubt, what he is capable of handling!

“Daring Risks” will be the chosen motorcycle to ride to compensate! Ruthlessly determined to PROVE something, these people bow to no one at any time! No strangers to disaster, protection and self-preservation, at all costs, rules them. In good physical shape, they barricade themselves against the inevitable desolation. They are loners who find it hard to cooperate with others who are just playing idiotic games.

No one can match his treacherous need to be in control and dominate. They are also no strangers to the face of terrifying demons, backing up out of nowhere. Thus spoke Pluto in the first house of his natal chart.
