For the 40th anniversary of Range Rover, the Mansory branch in Switzerland has developed a new tuning program for the Sport model. The new tuning program gives the SUV a more aggressive face with new aerodynamic bodywork, upgraded monobloc wheels, a refreshed interior and additional performance upgrades for each of the Sport’s petrol and diesel engines.
Mansory’s new Range Rover Sport aerodynamic body kit is designed to be more aggressive, powerful and athletic than the original model. All components are constructed of durable, lightweight Polyurethane Reinforced Plastic (PU-RIM) with an OEM quality fit. At the front of the SUV is a new spoiler with vertically arranged LED lighting strips and large air intakes. This helps cool both the engine and brakes while increasing downforce on the front axle for better stability at high speeds. A new bonnet was also installed and was manufactured using the carbon prepreg method. The lightweight hood uses a power dome to produce a more muscular appearance and features air vents to help cool the engine. Along each side of the Mansory Range Rover Sport are aerodynamic side skirts and wider fenders that house the Range Rover’s large wheels. The rear of the SUV is fitted with a new carbon fiber inset rear diffuser and carbon fiber roof spoiler. These two components help generate downforce on the rear axle. New carbon fiber D-pillars complete the bodywork.
To give the Range Rover Sport that extra look of confidence, Mansory had to replace the original Range Rover wheels with new monobloc wheels, performance wheels and a lowered suspension. New 23-inch monobloc wheels with 315/25 R23 high-performance tires were fitted for added grip. The suspension was then lowered so the wheels fit snugly inside the extended fenders with a new air suspension module that lowers the SUV by as much as 30mm.
Each of the engines also required tuning so the SUV wasn’t “all show and no-go.” Mansory developed new engine tuning packages for the naturally aspirated and supercharged gasoline V-8s, as well as the diesel engines. Each package helps increase output by around 30 horsepower and 40 Nm of torque with ECU tuning, sports air filters and sports exhaust systems.
Inside the Range Rover Sport by Mansory are a host of luxury amenities. Mansory has installed an ergonomic center console, a sports steering wheel and aluminum pedals. The interior also features numerous leather accents and carbon fiber or wood trim.
The Mansory Range Rover Sport is luxurious and sporty. The new package replaced the original Range Rover wheels with monobloc wheels, added an aerodynamic body kit, increased engine power and refreshed the interior. The price of the complete package has not been published.
