You never know what curves life will throw at you and you rarely know in advance when you will need a 24 hour locksmith. I know I have gained a new appreciation for a private 24 hour locksmith. My friend Wendy is a brave young woman. A few years ago she was swimming at the local water spot, something she often enjoyed doing. One day Wendy and a couple of boys decided to jump off the bridge into the water. Wendy jumped a few times and she loved it. She went back up on the bridge, and for some reason, Wendy decided to jump in! Her head and back smashed against the rocks in the river and Wendy was paralyzed from the waist down.

Wendy will most likely stay in her own apartment with her medical care. However, her doctor agreed that she could be alone for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening, so that she could have some sense of independence. Last week, while she was maneuvering her wheelchair from the living room to the kitchen, Wendy accidentally ran over her dog’s tail. The dog, Jaxson, started, jumped, jumped again, and accidentally knocked Wendy’s chair aside. Although Wendy had a lifeline that he uses, he got tangled up behind her and couldn’t reach her. Jaxson felt that he needed to be rescued and began to move towards the door and began barking and swiping at her tail.

A neighbor ran up and tried to open the door, but realized it was locked. He tried to ask the apartment owner for help and also got help from the 24 hour locksmith as another option for rescue. The owner arrived immediately and realized that he did not have the extra key for the new bottom lock that was installed just for Wendy’s door. Fortunately, the 24 hour locksmith arrived exactly when he needed it in just a few minutes. However, during those ten minutes, smoke started coming out from under Wendy’s door. And then Jaxson started whimpering and backed away from the door. When people called Wendy’s name, she didn’t respond.

The 24-hour locksmith immediately opened the door, but before fully opening the door, he asked the neighbor for two bath towels. The 24 hour locksmith placed one over her nose and mouth and took the other to cover Wendy’s face. When he entered, he discovered Jaxson straddling Wendy’s face; it was as if Jaxson understood that Wendy needed protection from the smoke. Jaxson moved and let the 24-hour locksmith cover Wendy’s face. A couple of minutes later, the emergency team was on the scene.

Fortunately, Wendy did not receive any damage from the fall or from the smoke. The smoke by the way was brought by a sandwich that was burning on the stove without being noticed. A health worker had started heating it up for Wendy.

Most people think that it is annoying to have to call a locksmith 24 hours a day; We are very grateful that there was one in the immediate area to rescue Wendy.
