Spread over an area of ​​490 square kilometers, the Dudhwa National Park is located in the terai belt of Uttar Pradesh. It is hidden between the Indo-Nepal border in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of the state. The Park was established in 1958 and was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1977 and adopted Project Tiger in 1988.

Fauna
The dense forests of the park are a great delight for wildlife enthusiasts, as various species of fauna can be found. Among the seven species of deer in India, five thrive in Dudhwa. Various animal species like Swamp Deer, Tiger, Sambar Deer, Ratel. Jackal, one-horned rhinoceros, barking deer, leopard, hog deer, jungle cat, spotted deer, swamp deer, barasingha, civet and many more are the inhabitants of the park.

Avifauna
The swamps have more than 350 species of birds, including some migratory birds that reside here during the winter season. Bird watchers can see birds such as black and white necked storks, painted storks, woodpeckers, barbets, saras (cranes), minivans, kingfishers, bulbuls, bee-eaters and many more. Swamp Francolin, Great Slaty Woodpecker, Bengal Florican, etc. are some of the migratory birds that delight the avid bird watcher.

Flora
Dudhwa National Park is made up of dense salt jungles, grasslands and swampy swamps. The floral wealth of the park consists of 107 species of herbs, 31 species of grasses and 89 species of trees.

Elephant and jeep safaris
The Forest Department does not offer jeep safaris. Tourists have to hire minibuses or jeeps to travel into the deep jungle. Elephant safari, the best way to explore the charms of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve.
