This is a good thing for you to know. Driving in the rain makes the journey more complicated and rough, but not necessarily more dangerous. There are several key things to remember: the right speed, knowing the road, and last but not least, proper rain maintenance on your motorcycle.

For example, you’re on a nice motorcycle, like the Mini bike with a high and low speed compression setting. You are much safer than on another motorcycle because it has a secure grip. Wet grip is very good, and it would definitely be a safe car to drive in the rain. It has high speed highway driving and wet straight through the puddles.

The speed at which you are traveling is probably the most important factor – definitely slow down. The wet road means there is less grip. A slower speed will minimize water running down the road. Do not stop on the highway, especially on highways like the NLEX and SLEX.

If you want to stop, find a wide part of the service road or a rest area and stop there. If you stop on the road, your motorcycle becomes difficult. Do not forget that the visibility of other drivers becomes very limited. They may not see that you have stopped along the way. It is much better to slow down and find a suitable place to stop. You have to drive at a speed that you control or without feeling that you are nervous. If you are concerned about grip, slow down and be yourself.

The most important thing is to make sure that your motorcycle has the proper maintenance for the rain, such as good tires, brakes, lights, windshield washer fluid, alignment and other essentials.

To be prudent, make sure you keep the bike under control and well maintained, do not make sudden movements, this will create an imbalance with the performance of the bike. Everything should be done with ease, from applying the brakes to turning the steering and even accelerating, wet roads limit the amount of grip and sudden jerky movements can cause the tires to lose traction. Be safe, ride smoothly, within your limits and within the limits of the motorcycle and do not overtake at the comfortable speed of the motorcycle.
