I’ll tell you at the end of this article why I think SendOutCards has a hidden opportunity for those who are after it.
My goal here is to present you with the facts about SendOutCards so that you can make a decision about starting your MLM business. I do not work for SendOutCards and I am not a distributor. I have over two decades of experience primarily in startups and small businesses and also have an MBA and several years of experience in Corporate America.
Any business will require a lot of your time, money, and considerable effort before you see success. As an MLM Trainer, I have witnessed first hand what it takes to be successful. Success requires tenacity and a determined mindset from day one. Giving up is never an option.
SendOutCards, in general, had no negative press, little competition, with distributors enthusiastic about their products. They also offer a good compensation plan. There is great potential for financial success with your SendOutCards business if you can get enough people to view your presentation every day. The “old school” marketing method taught by the leaders makes it very difficult for the average person to gain the critical mass necessary for success in this industry.

A quick Google search of both SendOutCards and Kody Bateman (CEO) did not reveal any shocking or discouraging news. The information I found on the web was mostly positive towards SendOutCards. Often the MLM industry in general has a reputation for scarred people who thought they could “get rich quick”. Thank you leaders for honestly positioning SendOutCards and not leaving a trail of “hurt” disillusioned distributors.
A quick check with both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) at the time of writing revealed no complaints about the company.
SendOutCards Years in Business
90% of companies tend to fail within the first year. It is always safest to go into business with an MLM or Network Marketing company that has a bit of history. Founded in 2004, SendOutCards has successfully passed the 5-year mark, making SendOutCards a safer opportunity bet.
Card delivery management
Kody Bateman, CEO of SendOutCards, is on a mission to build a billion-dollar greeting card company. He had real reasons for starting SendOutCards. Right after college, leaving home for his first real job, his brother tragically died. He hadn’t really said goodbye to his brother.
The idea for SendOutCards grew out of this tragic event.
After doing a google search of Mr. Bateman’s background I couldn’t really find any information and the company website doesn’t really post his resume, a bit worrying since leadership is so critical. It appears that Mr. Bateman started SendOutCards fresh out of college with little corporate experience. While SendOutCards IS thriving, he would prefer to see a more experienced management team.

SendOutCards Products
If you like the product, chances are your customers will, too. This is especially important with MLM and Network Marketing companies. Conceptually SendOutCards is a great idea: choose a card online just like you would an email. But instead, you receive a hand-delivered, signed, and filled-out traditional greeting card.
You’ll also get an online contact manager for the price of your card. As easy as sending an email, you can even send a fully personalized hand-signed card with your own photos.

Competing companies of SendOutCards
Greeting cards included in a billion dollar industry. While Hallmark and American Greetings are pretty much household words, SendOutCards is unique in both its online delivery system and being part of the MLM industry. There are really no competitors for SendOutCards, which would make it a first to market, a huge plus.
SendOutCards Compensation Plan
SendOutCards offers a starter compensation plan, aka direct sales, with decent commissions, fast. This is known as GPT, or Get Paid Today, my personal favorite type of plan. As a new business, you’ll need cash flow and your team members, so this is critical. This allows for faster cash flow and keeps you “in the money” as your income grows.
Earn money while you sleep with SendOutCards’ back-end compensation plan, also known as residual income.
To be successful in your home business, you really have to get a lot of people looking at your business plan on a daily basis.
Success means signing a new distributor every day.
How this SendOutCards compensation plan works:
- First you register as a member of SendOutCards.
- Then decide to work in the SendOutCards business and participate in the compensation plan simply by encouraging others to get the “free gift”. (Great incentive!)
There are seven levels of SendOutCards compensation:
- Benefits of direct sales to the customer: People purchase an annual prepaid greeting card account that is used to purchase the cards and stamps.
- Preferred Customer Retail Profits (monthly payment). This pays volume commissions.
- wholesale packages – $298 including a training session from you. You get a $120 bonus, paid after the training is complete (paid weekly).
- Entrepreneurs Package – With this package you get paid an additional $15 to $50 for each coaching session in your downline, the cost is $398, commissions are paid weekly.
- Treat Them Right Seminar – Weekly bonus when you get your representatives to attend this additional seminar. Additional commission from $5 to $30.
- The seven level bonus – Greeting cards with commissions paid on your entire group, monthly.
- leadership bonuses – As you rise through the leadership ranks, you can earn 5%-25% commission on greeting cards sold, unlimited levels.
The SendOutCards Competition
The leadership, or top producers, in the MLM organization can be very revealing. Check out one of the SendOutCards trainings. Chat with them in person. See how they do their own SendOutCards marketing and training. This is a critical component of how quickly you will start making money.
Look for a step-by-step plan or system to get started easily.
The only downside to SendOutCards, as far as I can see, is that the main producers of SendOutCards are old-school marketers: they use the 3 foot rule and the list of friends and family of cordial contacts points to hotel meetings. or at home. personal network to succeed with old school marketing techniques. Beware of the fact that it takes a lot of people looking at your SendOutCards business every day to get to your “new SendOutCards record” every day.

Many MLM companies simply hook up their distributors in recorded webinars and expert groups that are amazing. The problem is that SendOutCards isn’t training in new school, internet marketing, which is a big mistake for any marketer today.
