Well, I’ll tell you. But first I want to tell you who I am.
My name is Cathy Smith and I work in Lake Superior State.
Sault Ste. Mary Michigan University. In the last two years
our state governor has cut state funding for seniors
education by an astonishing 20%. This has resulted in layoffs and
job cuts at our university.

I am one of the “lucky ones” who survived the cuts and still
to have a job. I not only have my own job but the jobs of both
people in our office who were eliminated. So now I have three
Full time jobs. Do you see how lucky I am?
I’m so lucky I come home every night too exhausted to spend
quality time with family and friends, too exhausted to spend it
at any time to my hobbies, too exhausted to do any of the things
I love to do. My health suffers from stress and overwork.
I have developed migraines and IBS. I can’t sleep at night.

I am rich? NO! Am I still stuck in my exhausting job? YES!
